The place value of whole numbers is almost similar to decimal place value. There are th added to the whole number place values. This time we read the decimal place value from left to right and as you digit moves further to the left the value of the decimal decreases.

How to read / write a decimal?

The reading/writing decimals is very similar to whole number, we just add th to the end of each group. For more see reading whole numbers.
1. 12.36 - twelve and thirty six hundredths
2. 0.306 - three hundred six thousandths
Examples:
1. Create a the smallest decimal from the given digits with out repetition, with no whole part. 0, 1, 2, 9
2. Create a the largest decimal from the given digits with out repetition, with out a whole part. 0, 1, 2, 9
2. Write the place value of 0 from the given numbers.
